Bulk Monitoring

For clients with access to our bulk monitoring tool, it is possible to monitor any number of names for mentions in Hight Court cases.

This tool performs a complete search of the archive for names entered and uploaded, and then repeats the search daily - sending an email to you with any new matches found each day.

You can find access to the tool in the left hand navigation bar.

Once you arrive at the Bulk Monitoring management area, you have the option to 'create a new bulk monitor', which requires you creating and uploading a spreadsheet, saved in CSV (comma separated values) format.

After selecting the option to create a new monitor, you will see instructions to create and save your list as a CSV-formatted spreadsheet. A link to download a CSV template is included - simply click 'view sample'.

The sample spreadsheet is populated with dummy names like 'Acme' and 'Joe Bloggs'.

You need only enter the names of people or companies you want to monitor using the 'name' column. The other columns are for more refined searches and are optional.

Save your list of names and upload it from your computer.

SEARCH TIP: Enter more than one version of the name you wish to search for if you expect there to be misspellings in the data.

Now download all matches...or wait for updates

After approximately one minute the tool is live - it will perform a historical background search through all High Court cases for all the names included in your list.  After a few moments the results will be available as a downloadable spreadsheet.

You can download all matches under two options: 'All Exact' and 'All Extended'. These refer to all matches with exact spelling only, and all matches with extended or 'fuzzy' matching.

The tool then checks for updates to existing cases, or for new cases involving the names in your list, each night.

If there is a match or an update, you will receive a notification by email that morning with the subject line “Bulk Notifications.” You can stop receiving these emails by opting out of them in your account settings (bottom left of the window while logged in).

A count of any new matches found and the date they were found will be recorded in the bulk monitor area, with options to download a spreadsheet of just those cases.
