By know I've hopefully already introduced you to our tracking and monitoring tools, if not take a quick read of Tip 1 or 4, but there's one more that we think is worth talking about: Bulk Monitoring.

This tool is useful for tracking dozens, hundreds or thousands of names of people, companies or cases. It's purpose is to update you when any new cases related to your list of names are announced in the Courts.

It is simple to set up, and you will reap the rewards almost immediately as the Bulk Monitoring tool conducts a complete search of the Irish courts archive to produce a list of results. It then continues to run a search every day for any new cases, and informs you of any updates.

Here's how to set up a Bulk Monitor

1. Once you have navigated to the Bulk Monitoring page, select Create New Bulk Monitor and download the sample CSV file by clicking View Sample

2. The CSV file is populated with dummy information to show you how to format your data, as well as the varying way names can be identified in public documentation. The most important column is the name column, the others you can leave blank if you do not have the corresponding information. It's important to remember that we might not have that information as well due to what's published in the courts.

3. Once you have filled in the data you wish to receive notifications on, click on Create New Bulk Monitor again, and upload the CSV file - don't forget to title the file as something that will help you remember what you have uploaded. You will see results almost immediately when you click into your new Bulk Monitor.

4. And your first email notification will come through as well

One last thing to note - although everyone within a company/firm shares access to each other’s Bulk Monitors, only the person who uploaded the Bulk Monitor will receive the notification email. We find most clients forward update emails along to their colleagues.
