Until now the two key databases of Courts.ie superior courts information - the Irish High Court case search and the archive of published judgments and determinations - were separate databases, with no way to link published judgments to the details of the cases they pertain to.

Courtsdesk links the two, matching High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court case references

Links on Judgment Pages

On any judgment page, or at least on those where it has been possible to link that judgment to a case, you will find that the relevant case number in the top-level information on the body of the judgment.

Those numbers act as hyperlinks to the case page mentioned.

Links on High Court Case Pages

On the details page for every High Court case for which a judgment can be found - including Court of Appeal and Supreme Court case references a link to view them has been added.

There may be many judgments and/or determinations pertaining to a case page. For each case number - High Court, Court of Appeal or Supreme Court reference - any judgments in which those case numbers has been mentioned will be offered as a separate link.

For example on this case, O'Brien v RTE, the link appears in blue to say two judgments have been found.

Clicking the link will take you to those two judgments in the Judgments and Determinations section of the site where you can export that list as a spreadsheet (which will contain links back to each judgment) or select one to access the full text.

In this instance there are two judgments so the list appears as follows:
